Sea fruit soup – Supe me fruta deti

Ingredients

(serves 6 )

  • 2 tablespoons of  butter
  • 1   onion, diced finely
  • 3 celery stalks, sliced finely
  • 1 carrot, diced finely
  • 1 tomato diced finely
  • 150 ml  white wine
  • 1/2 kg ,  potatoes diced finely
  • 1.5 lt chicken stock
  • 500 gr salmon
  • 500 gr shrimps
  • 100 ml cream
  • sour cream to be added on top
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Melt the butter first and put the vegetables to be sauteed for some minutes.Add the white wine and let it for some minutes this way on medium heat.Add the stock and potatoes and let it simmer for some time.Afterwards add the  fish,shrimp and tomatoes and let it simmer for some more minutes.Turn off the heat and add the cream and salt and pepper.Serve it with sour cream if you wish:)

3 kercenj selinoje , te prera holle

150 ml vere e bardhe
1/2 kg , patate te prera ne forme kubash te vegjel
1.5 lt leng mishi pule
500 gr salmon
500 gr karkaleca
100 ml pana
shtalp qe te serviret siper supes
Kripe dhe piper

Shkrini gjalpin dhe lerini perimet (qepen,selinon,karroten)  te skuqen per disa minuta.Shtoni veren e bardhe dhe lijeni keshtu per disa minuta ne zjarr te mesem.Me tej shtoni lengun e mishit te pules dhe patatet dhe lijini per disa minuta te zihen.Me tej shtoni dhe salmonin,karkalecat dhe domatet dhe lijini te zihen dhe per ca minuta.Kur te jete gati fikeni soben dhe shtojini kripe,piper dhe panen siper .Kur ta servirni sipas deshires mund ti vini shtalp siper supes.

Hasselback Potatoes / Patate Hasselback

Hasselback potatoes or as i or many others would call accordion potatoes are a kind of baked potato dish. Their name is derived from the restaurant where they were first introduced in the 1940s, Hasselbacken in Stockholm, Sweden which opened in that city in 1748 and where they are called hasselbackspotatis.

 

Ingredients :
8 large potatoes
4 tbsp butter, cut into small cubes
some rosemary leaves for making it spicy
black or red pepper
salt
Preparation

Rinse and scrub the potatoes well because their skin won`t be peeled.
Boil them in salted water for about 20 minutes. This step is optional to shorten the time of their baking in the oven as well as to make sure their skin is very clean.But it`s up to you anyways.

Cut across the potatoes in thin slices as seen on the pics, but make sure not to cut them all the way.
Lay the potatoes on a baking sheet. Fill them equally with the butter cubes and some rosemary leaves .Sprinkle the salt and pepper.
You can pour some olive oil over them to make them more crispy.
Bake them in a pre-heated oven at 200°C until they are ready.

Pergatitja

Shpelajini dhe ferkojini patate mire perpara pasi do te perdoren e gjithe lekure.Zijini per rreth 20 minuta ne tenxhere.Kete hap mund ta injoroni nese deshironi , por jua keshilloj qe te siguroheni qe patatet jane lare shume mire dhe per te shkurtuar kohen e pjekjes.
Me tej merrini dhe pritini patatet sic e shihni ne fotot e patatet e pjekura ,por beni kujdes mos ta prisni deri ne fund.Vendosini ne tepsi.
Mbushini zonat e prera me gjalpin dhe disa gjethe rozmarine .Hidhini siper kripe dhe piperin.Pastaj hidhini pak vaj ulliri siper per ti bere lekurat me kerce dhe vijini te piqen ne 200°C deri sa te jene gati.

Apple cake & camomile :)

I love the spring mood . With all the fragrances, colors,lights,sun, rain…
It`s like it keeps you inspired all the time .
Profiting from this amazing blooming time, me & mom decided to get some fresh camomile herb and dry it in order to make some camomile tea in the days to come. We`re only having cold tea lately , it`s really cool:)

Besides , an apple pie was made .
The beautiful roses surrounding us , made everything look so much better.
Here`s the apple cake recipe :

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking soda
3 eggs
1 cup sunflower oil
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons of cacao
5 apples
250 gr chopped walnuts

Mix the flour, sugar,cacao , cinnamon , soda and salt in a bowl . In another bowl mix the eggs, oil, vanilla. Add the apples and nuts and mix . Afterwards add the mixture to dry ingredients and mix them together.
Bake at 180°C until ready.

Baked salmon with veggies / Salmon i pjekur me perime

I love salmon and always try to cook it differently.This time it came out really nice and piquant, just the way i like it:)
For this super easy and yummy recipe you`ll need :

For 2 persons:

2 salmon fillets
4-5 peppers in different color (only one color would do as well , but i do love colors :- )
2 tomatoes
some tomato sauce (i used a ready made one ,which had basil included)
2 carrots
5 cloves of garlic
some laurel leaves
salt
black pepper
freshly squeezed lemon juice
olive oil

Chop the veggies (pepper,tomatoes,carrots) finely and fry them shortly using olive oil on a pan altogether with the garlic.In the end you may add the tomato sauce,laurel, black pepper and salt over the mixture.Cook them shortly altogether.
Meanwhile ,spray the lemon juice over the salmon fillets.
Afterwards you can put the mixture and the salmon fillets to be baked in a preheated oven under 150 ° until they are ready.

Me pelqen shume salmoni dhe perpiqem shpesh here ta gatuaj ne menyra te ndryshme.Kete here doli shume e mire dhe pikante ashtu sic me pelqen mua:)

Per kete recete shume te lehte e te shijshme per dy persona do t`ju duhen:

2 fileta salmoni
4-5 speca shumengjyresh (edhe vetem speca njegjyreshe mund te perdorni, nuk eshte e thene, mua me pelqejne ngjyrat kjo eshte arsyeja:)
2 domate
salce domateje (ajo qe perdora une ishte e perzier me borzilok)
2 karrota
5 thelbinj hudhrash
gjethe dafine
kripe
piper i zi
leng limoni i fresket
vaj ulliri

Pritini perimet (specat,karrotat, domatet) holle dhe jepini nje kaverdisje te shkurter me vaj ulliri se bashku me hudhrat.Me tej shtojini dhe salcen e domateve, kripen e piperin e zi e gjthet e dafines dhe perzijini dhe pak.
Ne anen tjeter hidheni lengun e fresket te limonit mbi filetat e salmonit.
Me tej vijeni miksturen qe pergatitet me lart se bashku me filetat e salmoni ne nje tepsi dhe lijeni te piqet ne temperaturen 150 ° sa te jene gati.

Strawberry & cocoa ice cream /Akullore me luleshtrydhe dhe kakao

To prepare this yummy ice -cream, I used.
500 gr of heavy cream
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
200 gr dark chocolate
250 ml milk
6 tablespoons of honey
one pinch of salt
5 egg yolks
200 gr of strawberries
a pinch of chopped pistachio
100 gr of vanilla

Whisk the heavy cream and cocoa powder together until the cocoa is dissolved.Put them in a saucepan and heat them for a while , while continuously whisking them.Drop the finely chopped dark chocolate over the saucepan and keep on whisking.Remove it from the heat. Put the homogenous ice cream base in a bowl .

Afterwards mix together the milk, honey,the pinch of salt, in a saucepan under a medium temperature.On the other side whisk the egg yolks in a bowl.Add some part of the milk mixture over the bowl where the egg yolks are found, whisking them all continuously. In the end , add this to the pan where the rest of the milk mixture is being heated.Keep on stirring them all under a medium heat , until it gets thickened. Once ready add this mixture to the firstly prepared cacao mixture ,altogether with the vanilla, chopped pistachio and finely chopped strawberries.Mix them together and let them in the fridge to get frozen.
Serve it with some more strawberries 🙂

3 lugë kakao pluhur
200 g çokollatë me perqindje te larte kakao
250 ml qumësht
6 lugë mjaltë
pak kripe
5 te verdha veze
200 g luleshtrydhe
pak fëstëk i shtypur
100 g vanilje

Perzini se bashku kremin me pluhurin e kakaos deri sa kakao te tretet ne krem.Hidhini ne nje tenxhere dhe perzijini nen nje temperature te mesme , duke i rrahur vazhdimisht me nje luge.Me tej shtojini siper dhe cokollaten e erret te copetuar holle dhe perzijini dhe nje cope kohe se bashku.Hiqeni tenxheren nga zjarri dhe permbajtjen qe perfituat hidheni ne nje tas.

Ne nje tenxhere tjeter perzini se bashku qumeshtin, kripen, mjaltin se bashku nen nje tem[erature te mesme.Ne nje tas rrihini te verdhat e vezeve se bashku.Hidhni ne kete tas pak nga mikstura e qumeshtit dhe perzijini mire.Me tutje hidheni kete te fundit ne tenxheren ku eshte pjesa tjeter e mikstures me qumesht e perzijini mire deri sa te ndjeni qe do te trashet.Me tutje hidheni kete miksture te fundit , mbi miksturen e pare me kakao dhe shtojini siper vaniljen, fëstëkun e shtypur dhe luleshtrydhet e prera ne copa te vogla.Perzijini te gjitha se bashku dhe me tej lijeni tasin ne akull qe te ngrihet masa.Akullorja eshte gati.Servireni ate me disa luleshtrydhe me shume 🙂

Broccoli & Cauliflower Balls/ Qofte me brokoli dhe lulelaker

Tired of less healthy, fried meat-balls?
Try some vegetable balls then;)
This one is one of my favorites.Easy to prepare and much healthier:)

Ingredients used ;

1 bunch of broccoli
1 bunch of cauliflower
1 bunch of fresh dill
1 bunch of fresh parsley
2 eggs
1 spoon of flour
200 gr of curd
black pepper
salt

Steam cook the broccoli and cauliflower.Chop and mix them altogether with dill and parsley in a mixer.Mix them with the 2 eggs ,flour, pepper & salt afterwards.
You may fry them, but i advice you to simply bake them, to save yourself the calories and side effects 🙂

200 gr gjize

Gatuajeni brokolin dhe lulelakren ne avull.Me tej copetojini dhe perzijini bashke brokolin, lulelakren dhe majdanozin e kopren ne mikser.
Perzijini ne fund me miellin, vezet, kripe dhe piperin e zi.Brumi i qofteve, kesisoj , eshte gati.
Ju keshilloj ti piqni pastaj ne furre ne vend qe ti skuqni.

Colorful bread rolls / Kulece shumengjyresh

It`s the last hours til the New Years eve now and most of you , celebrating at home must have finished cooking 🙂 But i wanted to share this new , amusing recipe with you anyways:)

It`s a very easy and nice looking recipe 🙂
I have already shared something similar before . oregano bread , recipe was this time modified with vegetables , in order to get something fancier:)

Ingredients for colorful bread rolls:

400 gr flour
1 cup of coffe olive oil
2 tea spoons of sugar
2 tea spoons of salt
1 spoon of yeast
1 + 1/2 glass of water
one handful of oregano

You can mix all of the above ingredients to profit the dough.Let the dough to get ready for about 45 minutes (covered with a slightly wet napkin) and afterwards , cut the dough in pieces to mix them with the veggies to make it colorful 🙂
I used carrots, spinach and beet root.So my dough was cut into 3 pieces.
The carrots and beet roots were boiled firstly.All of the vegetables were finely chopped. Then each part of the dough was respectively mixed with one of the vegetables.

They were baked in a preheated oven under 180°C,. In the end they looked so cute, just like macaroons:)

Ne rastin tim u perdoren karrota,spinaq dhe panxhar. Karrotat dhe panxhari u zien perpara.

Baked Spiced Sardines / Tave aromatike sardelesh

I love sardines.Let them be fried, cooked, or baked.They`re always so tasty :)I tend to love small fishes better than big ones, since they tend to be very fatty and not so tasty , at least according to me.

They are  very rich of B12 vitamin, omega 3 – fatty acids, vitamin D, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and also iron , selenium and protein.Since they are one of the most affordable fishes, they are also budget friendly 🙂

In my opinion the healthiest and yummiest way of eating them is baking them or cooking them in a pan, instead of frying them.

Here come the ingredients for the baked spiced sardine recipe of mine 🙂

1/2 kg of sardines

4 medium ripen tomatoes thinly chopped

2 medium onions finely chopped

10  garlic cloves, minced

a handful  of  fresh parsley ,chopped

3-5 bay leaves

salt, black pepper seasoning

5 spoons of olive oil , to be  sprayed over

Place the onions on the baking tin. Meanwhile mix the tomatoes, garlic ,parsley  together and put them over the onions. In the end place the sardines and the bay leaves over them.Add some salt & black pepper and spray the olive oil over all.
Put it to be baked on the preheated oven  at 180°C, until it`s ready.

Nisur dhe nga fakti qe nuk jane te shtrenjta, i vijne per shtat dhe buxhetit tuaj 🙂
Sipas meje menyra me e shendetshme dhe e shijshme per ti gatuar sardelet , eshte te piqen ne furre apo te gatuhen ne tenxhere dhe jo te skuqen.

Permbajtjesit qe perdora ne receten time per taven aromatike sardelesh jane 🙂

1/2 kg sardele

4 domate mesatare te pjekura, te prera holle

2 qepe mesatare, te prera holle

10 thelbinj hudhre , te grira

nje dore e mire me majdanoz te fresket , te prere holle

3-5 gjthe dafine

kripe dhe piper i zi per ereza

5 luge vaj ulliri per tu sperkatur siper

Vendosni qepet si nje shtrese te pare ne tave.Me tej shtoni siper tyre domatet, majdanozin, , hudhrat .Vazhdoni njesoj me sardelet duke i vene siper domateve dhe pastaj shtoni dhe kripe , piperin e zi dhe gjethet e dafines siper.Ne fund sperkatini me vajin e ullirit.

Vijeni taven ne furren e ngrohur me pare ne temperaturen 180° dhe lijeni deri sa te piqet.

Caramelized cake – Kek me shtrese karameli

This cake is super easy to do and came out to be very delicious.A good choice for an autumn evening to have eat along with your favorite cup of tea:)

Ingredients for caramelized cake :

75 gr sugar for the caramel
100 gr of sugar for the cake
4 eggs
150 ml milk
300 gr flour
100 ml oil
1 table spoon of baking powder

Firstly prepare the caramel with 75 gr of sugar.Afterwards pour it over the cake`s baking pan.
Use the first 3 eggs, milk and 50 mg of sugar.Whisk them thoroughly.Afterwards pour them over the caramel layer on the same cake baking pan.
In another bowl mix the left egg, flour,baking powder, the rest of the 50 gr of sugar and oil altogether.Pour this mix on the same cake baking pan over the caramel and other mixture.
Bake the cake at 180° until it`s ready.

ALBANIAN :

Ky ishte nje kek shume i kendshem dhe mjaft i pelqyeshem per tu ngrene ne keto nete vjeshte i shoqeruar me cajin tuaj te preferuar:)

Permbajtja per kekun:

75 gr sheqer per te pergatitur karamelin
100 gr sheqer
4 veze
150 gr qumesht
100 ml vaj
300 gr miell
1 luge sode buke

Se pari pergatisni karamelin me 75 gr sheqer.Me tej hidheni ate tek forma e kekut.
Me tej ne nje tas perzini 3 veze, 150 ml qumesht dhe 50 gr sheqer.Hidheni kete miksture mbi karamelin.
Ne nje tas tjeter me tej hidhni vezen qe mbeti,300 gr miell,100 ml vaj dhe soden e bukes.Perzijini keto deri sa te arrini nje miksture homogjene.Shtojeni dhe kete te fundit ne te njejtin vend siper karamelit dhe mikstures tjeter.

Lijni kekun te piqet ne 180° deri sa te jete gati.

Vegetarian Lasagne / Llazanje vegjetariane

Making of vegetarian lasagne was absolutely easy and the result was much more tasty (according to me :).
The title says it all.Instead of the normally used ingredients , this time vegetables was used.To make it ever more healthy the top was covered with yoghurt and feta cheese and not with Béchamel sauce.
Ingredients for vegetable lasagne:

fresh sheets of lasagne pasta (you can use ready made ones or make them yourself)
chopped carrots zucchini , aubergines,peppers .(2 from each)
a handful of chopped dill
small amount of olive oil
salt
black pepper

For the upper covering :
some feta cheese and homemade yoghurt

The lasagne sheets are boiled in the water.The vegetables will be cooked in pressure cooking.This will make you save unnecessary oil and time and they will taste so much better. You can add some olive oil and salt to the pressure cooker.Add the dill after they are ready.
Put the sheets of lasagne pasta and add the vegetables over them.Repeat this as many times you want.

Mix the yoghurt and feta cheese together in one bowl. Put this mixture over the last lasagna sheet.
Afterwards bake the lasagna at 180° until it`s ready.

Perimet gatuajini ne presion duke i shtuar pak vaj ulliri, kripe dhe piper.Do te behen me te shijshme dhe do te evitoni yndyrnat e teperta.Ne fund shtoni dhe kopren siper tyre.
Shtrojini petat e llazanjes ne tepsi dhe siper tyre vini perimet me kopren.
Kur te mbaroni me shtrimin e petes se fundit te llazanjes mbulojeni kete te fundit me miksin me kos dhe djathe te bardhe.
Piqeni llazanjen ne furre me 180° deri sa te jete gati.
Shpresoj t`ju shijoje kjo lloj llazanje.Mua me shijoi shume:)

Nice memories and one Albanian traditional recipe:)

Last year at the school i was a student i had the good chance to cook Albanian food to 80 Danes:) The school`s chef helped me a lot with it actually i owe it to her:) It all started one day i was whining on how much i missed Albanian pie.
So she decided to make an Albanian food day:)Yay!
I decided to cook Tave Elbasani a traditional Albanian recipe, as well as some pie and oregano bread.As per dessert i cooked tresleches , but that`s not Albanian anyways:)
Now i still can`t believe that inly 2 people (me and her) did everything in 5 hours ;)For a moment i thought i was a protagonist of `Run Lola Run` 😉 But that`s fine, i had so much fun:)
Tave Elbasani is a traditional Albanian recipe where you mix the lamb meat with yoghurt, but actually you can do it with other kind of meat as well,so we decided to use chicken as a lighter version:)
We used a total of 140 chicken thighs;) The chef told me people might wanna eat more than one thigh per each person.How right she was:)

Ingredients for TAVE ELBASANI

140 chicken thighs
8 lt yoghurt(Greek or Turkish full fat yoghurt)
7 cups of rice
10 chicken bouillons
20 eggs
20 spoons of flour
Butter
Salt,pepper

that was the ingredients for 80 people;) do yourself the math for your family:)

The chicken thighs were boiled first [reminder: don`t boil the lamb meat only the chicken one has to be boiled first the lamb can be just baked]..Please don`t forget to add the bouillons to the water before boiling them.

I let the rice get slightly softened in water for a while, but not totally boiled.

Afterwards put the rice and chicken thighs on the baking tin.

I mixed all the yoghurt, eggs, salt ,pepper ,flour altogether.
Then i poured them over the boiled chicken thighs and rice adding some butter over it.
Then put them to be baked under 180° in the oven.
Make sure to let it be baked until the upper surface gets a slightly brownish color.
When it gets so you now it`s ready:)

Unfortunately i didn`t have the camera with me that time so i missed the chance to take lots of photos, but thanks to the chef , i got 1 memory pic from her.Here it is 🙂

 

Conclusion? Everybody loved the Albanian oregano bread, tomato-onion pie and Tave Elbasani.Tresleches was also very much nicely commented but that`s not Albanian anyways;)
I was glad and proud to see how the recipes of my country were so much liked and how everyone was so eager to get the recipes from me in order to do them theirselves:)

Homemade jams

How do you make your homemade jams? Usually the technique i use is boiling together 1 kg of sugar per 1 kg of fruit.Sometimes i add a pinch of cinnamon to that.And for some other jams , like watermelon jam for example , lime using is a must before boiling of the watermelon shell with sugar.
Actually i like to use half amount of the sugar and a lot of lemon juice and zest but this makes them not long lasting.
What are your techniques of making home made jam?

Roasted veggies/Perime te pjekura

Roasted veggies are a great and healthy treat during all the year, but i`d guess summer is the best time ever to try them, since all the vegetables are fresh and much more tasty.
For this simple dish you`ll need:

For 3-4 persons:

5-6 ripe tomatoes
6 zucchini
5 eggplants

5 peppers
some garlic cloves
one onion if you wish
olive oil
salt,black pepper, oregano

Cut the veggies in thin , circular shapes. Chop the garlic and onion as well. Mix the  veggies with the onion and garlic + the salt,pepper and oregano. Place them in a flat plate and pour some olive oil over them. Bake them under   175 °  until they are ready.

Tip: i add some vinegar while serving them.it`s  up to you of course , to add it or not 😉

Prejini  perimet ne forme rrethore dhe holle.Pritni ne copa te imta dhe qepen dhe hudhrat.Perzijini perimet me qepen & hudhrat si dhe kripen,piperin dhe rigonin.Vendosini mbi nje tepsi te holle dhe sperkatni vaj ulliri siper tyre. Lijeni te piqen ne furre nen 175 ° deri sa te behen.

Shenim: Pasi piqen , tek i servir une i shtoj dhe pak uthull siper.Por kjo eshte sipas deshires suaj sigurisht:)

Pastrojeni peshkun Rrethojeni peshkun me erezat dhe kripen dhe lereni, ashtu per disa minuta deri sa erezat te te perzihen me peshkun.Me tej vendoseni ne tepsi ku do te shtoni dhe pakez vaj ulliri se bashku me hudhrat ne forme thelbi , patatet dhe karrotat e grira holle.Ne fund hidhini dhe ca leng limoni siper.Mund te vini dhe feta limoni siper taves.Piqeni ne furren e ngrohur me pare ne 180 ° C deri sa te behen.

English version
Wrasse fish with potatoes and carrots
Ingredients for 2 people

2 wrasse fishes
3-4 garlic cloves
small amount of curry
black pepper
salt
olive oil
lemon juice

Clean the fish. Cut the potatoes and carrots in small pieces. Mix the fish with the spices and pepper&salt and let the fragrances mix for a while. Afterwards , put the fishes on the tray and add the potatoes and carrots , as well as the garlic cloves. Pour some olive oil and lemon juice over them. Put it on the preheated oven , under 180 ° C and let them until they are ready.

Pervec kesaj u pergatit dhe salce domateje e cila u shtura ne tepsi perpara se te viheshin qoftet.
Per ju qe doni te dini receten e shumeditur te qofteve po e jap dhe njehere:
400 gr mish i grire
2 qepe
nje tufe majdanoz
nje veze
pak buke bajate ose miell galete
kripe ,piper i zi
mëndërz

Pritini qepet holle, pritni dhe majdanozin.Copetojeni buken ne copa shume te vogla.Perzijini te gjitha asortimentet se bashku.Krijoni format e qofteve.
Per te krijuar sanduicin me perime perdora 2 domate, 1 kungull dhe 2 speca.Pritini domatet dhe kungujt ne forme rrethore.Pritini dhe specat holle.Vendosni nje domate poshte dhe siper qoften, lart kungullin,specin e pak domate sic e shihni ne figure.

English version:
Sandwich meatballs with mint, vegetables & tomato sauce

400 gr minced meat
2 onions
a bunch of parsley
an egg
slightly stale bread or rusk flour
salt, black pepper
mint

Thin chop the onions and parsley. Crumble the bread .To make sandwiches with vegetables I used 2 tomatoes, 1 zucchini and 2 peppers .Cut the tomatoes and zucchini in circular shapes. Cut the pepper in thin pieces. Place the tomatoes under the meatball and the zucchini , pepper and a small tomato piece over them.
For the tomato sauce you can use fresh tomatoes or ready made tomato sauce. Put the meatballs in the preheated oven and let them under 200 ° C until they are ready.

Buka e karrotave eshte shume e kendshme dhe e lehte ne pergatitje.Eshte e lehte dhe pa shume yndyrna apo karbohidrate.

Per pergatitjen e saj duhen:

1 kg karrota te grira ne rende apo ne mikser

miell me sy

1 luge buke kripe, 1 luge buke sheqer

uje me sy.

Hidhini te gjitha asortimentet e permendura lart pervec vajit.Perzijini vazhdimisht duke shtuar miell apo uje sipas nevojes deri sa te arrini nje mase brumi te forte.Ne fund lyjeni doren me pak vaj dhe keputni copa te vogla nga brumi dhe jepini formen qe deshironi,pastaj vijini ne tepsi dhe vazhdoni keshtu deri ne fund.Vijini te piqen me 180 grade .Provojeni me thike per te pare nese jane pjekur.

Buka eshte gati.

English recipe for stuffed peppers:
Stuffed peppers

This one is also a very popular Albanian dish. Actually it`s a very popular Balkan dish i`d say.
In Albania and elsewhere is cooked in both vegetarian and non vegetarian version. I`ll share here the vegetarian one.
I love the inner part of the stuffed peppers so I always add some extra rice and more tomatoes.
Last time I made it with minimum oil and it was just as fantastic. The clue for a great, yummy conclusion is usage of a lot of tomatoes 
Here`s the recipe for 4 portions:

12 peppers (of those who are used for filling)

7 ripe tomatoes

6 coffee cups rice (you can use dark rice , bulgur or barleycorn as well)

5 tablespoons olive oil

some fresh dill

one tablespoon of red pepper sauce

3 large onions (you can use fresh onions as well, if so use 6 of them, the more onion, better taste)

salt, black pepper

300 ml water

Finely chop the onions , and so do with tomatoes . Wash the rice well in warm water .Chop the dill. Mix all of them together in one bowl (onions, dill, tomatoes, rice). Add the water ,the red pepper sauce, olive oil, salt, black pepper above them and mix the mixture.
Take the seeds out of the peppers that are to be stuffed. The fill the peppers with the mixture you created.
Put the stuffed peppers in a tray and you can also put the rest of the mixture out of the peppers in the tray. Add just a little more water to that part if you think it`s too dry, but not too much.
Then let it be cooked in the pre-heated oven at 200° C as long as you they are baked.
Another way of cooking, is putting it on a pan and add a little more water , close the lid of the pan. It will be cooked like boiled .Use the method you like best.
